Greetings

On behalf of the Springtown Area Chamber of Commerce, I would like to welcome you to our beautiful city. Springtown is an outstanding place to live, work and grow a business. Whether you are visiting, looking for a place to call home, or you already reside in our thriving community, Springtown is a distinctive small-town with a big heart and lots of opportunities. Springtown is perfectly positioned to allow big city conveniences, along with the quaint small-town feel you cannot get living in the metroplex.  Our deep history goes back to 1884 when our town was incorporated, and the chamber was established in 1966 to advocate for and support the prosperity of the Springtown community.

As the president of the Chamber of Commerce and a Springtown Porcupine Alumni, I am biased toward Springtown. The delightful feel and friendly people are what make it special. I encourage you to shop local and develop relationships with local businesses that would not be possible in larger communities.

The Chamber of Commerce continues to partner with local government and other organizations to pursue improvements in the overall quality of life for the city, county, and region. The Chamber not only works hard to promote local businesses but hosts several events that support local government, schools, and public servants. The Chamber hosts an annual awards banquet, a new teacher luncheon, Christmas Angel Tree Programs for Seniors and Children, assists with local food drives, and many other distinct occasions throughout the year. One goal of hosting these events is to bring the residents and businesses together to improve community relations and promote local services. “Shop Local” is a message we feel strongly about as we want you to get to know your merchants so they can better serve you. By supporting the businesses in our directory, you are reinvesting in your community.

The chamber encourages our residents, businesses, and organizations to get involved with our events. One of the greatest opportunities is to attend our monthly luncheons that are held on the 4th Thursday of most months. This is a wonderful time for fellowship, networking, and learning about other businesses and activities which are happening in the community.

Other opportunities to get involved with the chamber include participating in, sponsoring, or volunteering for our three major fundraising events during the year. The Chamber hosts a Sporting Clay Shoot, a Bicycle Rally, and our largest event of the year, the Wild West Festival. The Wild West Festival is held on the 3rd Saturday of September, and it begins with a huge parade, has over 200 booths, an entire children’s area with rides and extraordinary events for the kids, a BBQ Cook-Off (sanctioned), and a lot of local entertainment.

Ultimately, Springtown is a fantastic place to live, raise a family, shop, and own a business. Our sustained growth provides for either new businesses to come to town or current companies the chance to expand their offerings, all in an effort to give the citizens of Springtown what they want and need. It is my hope that you will find a local business, organization, or church in this directory that will provide what you are looking for and establish a lifelong relationship to support you and your family.

God Bless,

Jennifer Conway
Chamber President
